[:en]Ragusa Pride is upon us!
Differences, Uniqueness, Beauty is the slogan of Ragusa Pride 2023.
Following the success of the first Ragusa Pride in 2022, Agedo Ragusa, Arcigay Ragusa, Katastolè Prospettive, and UAAR Ragusa are preparing for Ragusa Pride 2023, which will take place on June 29 and 30 in Ragusa and on July 1 in Marina di Ragusa, with a parade.
Preparations and many events have been underway for months around the province, to promote Pride and create a safe network in the area, made up of people and places that welcome and do not discriminate against all diversities and uniqueness.
“The testimonials of Ragusa Pride have already been announced: the Dad by choice, a rainbow family that's become a hit online thanks to their blog, where they share their daily parenting experiences, responding to prejudices with engaging humor. Stories of days filled with joy and smiles, of dark circles under their eyes and sleepless nights, like those of any new family, from a rarely seen male parenting perspective that breaks free from preconceived rules and stereotypes. They'll be with us throughout Ragusa Pride.”
Pride is an event that involves everyone.
Participating in or sponsoring an event like this is NOT a given. We take nothing for granted.
For this reason, we would like to thank those who have already given their support and patronage to Ragusa Pride 2023.
We thank the Free Municipal Consortium of Ragusa, the Municipalities of Ragusa, Scicli, Giarratana, Vittoria, Comiso, Monterosso Almo, and Chiaramonte Gulfi for granting their patronage, recognizing the cultural value of the proposed initiatives.
Furthermore, patronage was granted by OPI – Order of Nursing Professions of Ragusa.
CGIL Ragusa is a partner of Ragusa Pride 2023.
We also thank the many associations, organizations, and parties that have participated in the Ragusa Pride Parade to date.
The three-day program is very rich.
Thursday 29th and Friday 30th June At the Cultural Shopping Centre, in Via Matteotti 61 in Ragusa, we will propose two thematic meetings with a single common thread: “WHAT IS NEEDED? VISIONARY GLANCE INTO REAL WORLDS.”
By once again creating spaces for discussion, testimony, and listening, we will give voice to those who can tell fragments of lives that are extraordinary, but could become so; to those who can testify that it is possible to believe in different "principles" and coexist respectfully; to those who can inspire reflection on the value of words, memory, and knowledge; to those who can bring truth to the processes and paths of denial, censorship, and manipulation at the hands of regimes, social rules, and prejudices.
The June 30th – from 11pm – we will be at BAM, at the Giovanni Paolo II Park in Ragusa (Villa Margherita) for a party based on good music.
Saturday, July 1st we will be in Marina di Ragusa for the Parade: departure at 6.30 pm from Via Portovenere, in the park that hosts the Rainbow Benches.

- 8.30pm arrival in Tower Square – speeches from the stage to greet the institutions, raise demands from the LGBTQIA+ community, and explore political and intersectional issues.
- 9.30 pm – live music with The Bad Romance Lady Gaga Tribute Band
- 10.30pm – DJ set Mattia Terranova
All Ragusa Pride events are free to attend.
