PRIDE WAVE, PROCESSION TODAY IN POTENZA. PIAZZONI (ARCIGAY): "OUR MOBILIZATION WILL NOT STOP"“
Bologna, August 22, 2024 After the mid-August break, the rainbow mobilization returns to the streets of Italy: today, Potenza Basilicata Pride, part of Onda Pride, the large-scale demonstration in support of LGBTQI+ rights organized by Arcigay and other local and national associations, will be marching in Potenza. The event is scheduled for 3:30 pm in Piazza Mario Pagano. "Our mobilization will not stop, because hatred will not die," says Gabriele Piazzoni, general secretary of Arcigay. He continues: "We continue to witness beatings and attacks against LGBTQI+ people across the country, often fueled by a violent and discriminatory public debate. We are taking to the streets to say enough is enough, but also to offer those who suffer these attacks a place and a community where they can fully experience their freedom. We, as always, are here," concludes Piazzoni.
