Wednesday, December 3, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the headquarters of Arcigay Viterbo in Via Vicenza 13, the training meeting will be held “A TEA with a TEST”, dedicated to the role of counseling in rapid testing. The training will be conducted by Drs. Angela Infante And Giovanna Picchi.
Objectives of the meeting
The event is aimed at all Arcigay members and to the staff ASL, and was born with a clear objective: to provide updated tools and practical skills to correctly, consciously and respectfully support those undergoing a rapid test for HIV, hepatitis or other STIs.
The Test in the City project
“Test in the City”" is a screening campaign that brings tests to the area fast, anonymous and free, also offering clear information and a simplified path to health services should further diagnostic testing be necessary.
Training contents
The following topics will be discussed during the meeting:

how a rapid test works;

what does it mean to offer a good welcome;

what is counseling and what value does it have in the testing process;

how to communicate correct, clear and understandable information;

How to manage and communicate a reactive outcome.
