On the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia, Lesbophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia, Arcigay Viterbo – Peter Boom APS offers an event dedicated to comics, self-talk, and socializing.
Saturday, May 16, at 6:00 PM, at Tusciae Caffè in Viterbo (Piazza San Carluccio 7), we will meet Alec Trenta, author of Beard. The Story of How I Was Born Twice And Dog's eyes.
The meeting will focus on comics as a space for storytelling, identity, and imagination. Through his comics, Alec Trenta intertwines autobiography, family memory, the body, relationships, and self-discovery, crafting stories that speak to diverse audiences without losing personal power and narrative immediacy. Drawing and words become tools for giving form to complex experiences, often poorly told or told by others. It's an opportunity to explore profound themes with freedom, irony, and sensitivity, in dialogue with the author.
During the meeting there will also be a moment of live sketching.
Following, always at the Tusciae Caffè, he returns AperiBoom, Arcigay Viterbo's association aperitif. An informal gathering to get to know the association, meet new people, and enjoy a safe, inclusive, and community-friendly space.
Part of the proceeds will go to support the activities of Arcigay Viterbo – Peter Boom APS, including community support, information, awareness-raising, and cultural events.
