Arcigay Piacenza. Meeting on the elections.

Hello everyone,
As you may know, we're in the midst of an election campaign, and we've received requests from many quarters to better explain the current political situation, to better guide voters in a nation that—when it comes to gay rights—offers one of the worst examples in the Western world. Since it seemed obvious and ultimately banal to dedicate a meeting to the electoral promises of this or that party, we thought it might be more interesting to dedicate a couple of meetings to exploring the reasons that have led us to the current situation: a political class that—when it comes to action—still struggles to stand up for homosexuals and that too often feels held accountable for its actions to religious authorities. The first meeting will explore—with documents and films—a period spanning the late 1900s and the 1950s...
