CONVENTION FOR THE ARCIGAY PALERMO PROVINCIAL COMMITTEE CONGRESS
The Congress of the Provincial Committee of Arcigay Palermo is convened on March 18, 2017 at 4:00 pm in the first call and at 4:30 pm in the second call at the headquarters of the Provincial Coordination Libera Palermo, Piazza Castelnuovo 13 (C/O “I Sapori ed i Saperi della Legalità”), with the following Agenda:
1) Statutory amendments
2) Change of registered office
3) Renewal of corporate offices
The Congress is convened in accordance with the provisions of the Statute of the Arcigay Palermo Provincial Committee and the National Statute of Arcigay.

ARCIGAY PALERMO PROVINCIAL COMMITTEE – CONGRESS RULES
Art. 1 The Congress of the Arcigay Provincial Committee of Palermo (hereinafter the Congress) is convened on March 18 at 4.00 pm for the first call and at 4.30 pm for the second call at the headquarters of the Libera Palermo Provincial Coordination, Piazza Castelnuovo 13 (C/O “I Sapori ed i Saperi della Legalità”).
At the first call, the Congress is regularly constituted with the presence of half plus one of the members, while at the second call it is regularly constituted regardless of the number of those present.
The resolutions of the Provincial Congress must be recorded in the appropriate minute book.
Article 2. All members of the Arcigay Palermo Provincial Committee who have paid their membership fee by the date of the Congress are eligible to participate in the Congress, run for elected office, and vote. Congress participants must register during the Congress to receive a voting proxy upon presentation of their membership card and valid identification.
Article 3: Nominations for statutory positions may be submitted by members who are up-to-date with their membership fees. Applications must be submitted to the Association's official email address ([email protected]) no later than midnight on March 2, 2017.
Candidates for the Presidency and Secretariat, the Board of Directors, the Board of Auditors, and the Board of Guarantors must be submitted in a single list and accompanied by the political program they intend to propose to the Congress.
Applications may be accompanied by a short autobiographical CV.
Other members can demonstrate their support for the candidacy and its political programs by signing the petition, indicating their name, surname, and membership number.
Article 4: Proposals to amend the Statute must be sent to the Association's official email address ([email protected]) no later than midnight on March 12, 2017.
Article 5: Requests to vote on agenda items must be submitted to the Congress Presidency by 5:00 p.m. The President of the Congress shall determine whether agenda items are admissible.
Article 6. The Congress will be opened by the President of the Arcigay Palermo Provincial Committee, who will call for the election of the President of the Congress by open vote from among the candidates proposed and collected at the beginning of the congress. The President-elect will call two secretaries to the presidency table to assist him in his assigned duties and replace him in case of temporary absence.
The President of the Congress is responsible for ensuring the orderly, regular, and peaceful conduct of the debates and votes, and for announcing the results. It is his or her prerogative to grant and remove speaking rights, as well as to remove anyone who might obstruct the proceedings of the Congress.
Article 7: Following the congressional debate presenting the annual report, the agenda, the motions to amend the bylaws, and the nomination of candidates for association positions, voting procedures will begin. However, no voting will take place before 5:00 PM.
All votes require a simple majority and are held by open ballot unless at least one-third of the participants request a secret ballot, which must in any case be authorized by the Presidency of Congress.
Each member participating in the Congress has the right to one vote.
