Protego is the first center against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in the Palermo and Trapani areas.
A safe space for listening, support, and hospitality, offering social, legal, psychological, medical, family mediation, and employment and housing counseling services through the use of specialized professionals. A place where the needs of LGBTQIA+ migrants can be welcomed and addressed, but also a space for events and initiatives.
To support the project, launched in May, and its numerous activities to provide concrete support to LGBTIQA+ people in need and their families, we also need your help!
We are looking for volunteers who are 18 years of age or older—even without any experience or qualifications—for front office, reception, secretarial, event organization, and logistics tasks.
Volunteering activities at the Protego Center will be preceded by a training course that will take place on December 17th and 18th..
Participation in the training is mandatory for anyone wishing to participate in volunteer activities, as it will provide all the tools necessary to operate effectively within the Protego Center.
