Bologna, February 13, 2016 – Gay Bride Expo, the first Salon in Italy dedicated to same-sex marriages, building on the resounding success of its first edition, announces its second edition on the occasion of Valentine's Day, the lovers' holiday: this year the event confirms the location of Bologna Fair and make an appointment for the October 14, 15, 16, 2016 within the scope of Bologna Sì Sposa 2016, a showcase of products and services for national ceremonies, and Buy Wedding in Italy, a trade show dedicated to weddings from abroad in Italy, a rapidly growing sector that also includes the LGBT community, as many foreign same-sex couples choose Italy as their wedding destination. Compared to the first edition, Gay Bride Expo 2016 will last one day longer to provide even more space for events and discussions. But above all, Gay Bride Expo, in sending its best wishes to all lovers for Valentine's Day, asks the Italian Parliament for a special gift: the approval of the law on civil unions, loudly requested not only by the LGBT community but by a large part of civil society.
In addition to renewing the partnership with Arcigay, this year Gay Bride Expo also includes a media partnership with the website www.gay.it, the LGBT community's most important and authoritative medium. Gay Bride Expo aims to become a point of reference for the LGBT community in terms of imagery and ideas for the most beautiful day, all with a captivating, engaging, passionate, and humorous approach. Gay Bride Expo gathers and showcases fashion, design, and entertainment trends for gay weddings, engaging and comparing them with traditional weddings, in a sort of exchange of experiences and perspectives for mutual enrichment.
