RAOT is the LGBTQIA+ association of La Spezia. It promotes respect, rights, and self-determination. It works through cultural, social, and advocacy initiatives to combat discrimination and inequality.
The association is independent of major sponsors, supporting itself through community contributions and volunteers.
It opposes capitalist logic and rainbow washing, favoring a local network based on solidarity and mutual aid. RAOT organizes events, debates, and gatherings to raise community awareness and create safe spaces. It also promotes La Spezia Pride, a Pride free from capitalist logic, which addresses discrimination across the board to promote the free self-determination of all.
