OUR HISTORY
In 2013, in Cecina, we organized a flashmob on May 17th for the International Day Against Homophobia. From this experience, the idea was born to create a social promotion association dedicated to the defense of human rights, specifically those of the LGBTQI community, and various forms of discrimination. On March 22, 2014, "LED Libertà e Diritti" became part of part of the Arcigay family.
THE MISSION !!! ! !
Promote and protect the right to equality between allevery person, be they gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender, or heterosexual; affirm principles and relationships of solidarity; fight against all forms of violence and discrimination against the human, civil, and citizenship rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. Promote the visibility and full participation in social and civic life of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people.
To propose cultural and social policies and debate around the issues of homosexuality, lesbianism, and transgenderism. "LED Libertà e Diritti" also aims to create a free observatory to address the problems that can arise from various types of discrimination.
VALUES AND PRINCIPLES
“LED Libertà e Diritti” believes in a secular and democratic society in which individual freedoms and human and civil rights are recognized, promoted and guaranteed without discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and any other personal and social condition and in which the personality of each individual can be fulfilled in a context of peace and a serene relationship with the social and natural environment.
The association is independent of any government, political ideology, economic or religious interest and is funded primarily by members or private or public donations.
