Arcigay Consoli is founded in L'Aquila.

It was born from the activists of Gaya CsF Reporters Without Borders, a movement for free information and free life, and by the civil and human rights activities of the VERDI Abruzzo group.

Carla Liberatore, Fabrizio De Acutis, Ramona Ardivoli, Cristiana Graziani, Monia Bruno are just some of the members of this committee that arose spontaneously around activism in L'Aquila.

Necessary at this point in a city like The Eagle Arcigay's political and social associative presence, both for the cultural background of this province and for the definitive aggregation of LGBT activities.

We are ready to advance the ideas of freedom that are typical of Arcigay and our social vision. We are also ready to advance Arcigay's initiatives in all their forms.

We dedicate this promotional committee first and the birth of the association in a short time to the late friend, historian and journalist Massimo Consoli This is where the name Arcigay Consoli L'Aquila comes from in honour of all he has done for us activists and for our city, not least the birth of the Ulrichs Study Center, led by the good Giorgio Piccinini and the discovery of the tomb of this great gay German sociologist who lived in our city in the 19th century. Buena Vida.
