Films for reflection at the Arcigay club in Trento
TRENTO. The Trentino Provincial Committee of Arcigay, Circolo "8 uglio," at Largo N. Sauro 11, continues its film program today at 9 p.m. with "Brotherhood" by Nicolo Donato. A story of love and identity. Lars leaves the army and joins a neo-Nazi group that organizes punitive raids against Arabs and homosexuals.
The apprenticeship to the "brotherhood" is tough, and Lars is paired with his mentor Jimmy, who is tasked with testing his reliability and knowledge of key texts like Mein Kampf. Unexpectedly, passion ignites between the two.
A love lived in secret, until the group's racist and violent rules finally force the lovers to face the inevitable contradiction: betray their ideological "brothers" or betray the other and their own feelings. Either choice will lead straight to violence, physical or mental.
