The May 22, 2025 The Constitutional Court has marked a historic milestone, the result of the work of the Lenford Network and the Rainbow Families Legal Group: female couples who resort to assisted fertilization abroad can both be recognized as parents in Italy. 

The July 21, 2025, another decision has strengthened this path: also the non-biological mother in a same-sex couple has the right to mandatory 10-day paternity leave (paid at 100%), when both are listed as parents in the civil registry.

Two sentences that do not only speak of law, but of daily life, Of treatment, Of love and shared responsibility. Two achievements that touch on the most intimate and human dimension of rainbow families, too often invisible or forced to live half of their relationships "outside the law.".
