Rainbow Windows: Viterbo Against Hate

On the occasion of the May 17th, International Day against Homophobia, Lesbophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia, Arcigay Viterbo – Peter Boom APS launches the initiative A flag in the window.

We invite anyone who wishes to participate to display an Arcigay flag on May 17th from a window, balcony, or other visible area in their home.

It's a simple gesture, but it has a powerful impact. Flying a flag means making a presence visible, saying that no one should feel alone or forced into silence, affirming that our city can and must be permeated by signs of solidarity, respect, and recognition.

We don't want to portray a perfect Viterbo. We want to portray a Viterbo where there are people who choose to be there, to take a stand, and not leave LGBTQIA+ people alone.

We ask those who participate, if they wish, to send us a photo of the flag displayed. With the images collected, we will create a small collective photo-story, to be published on our channels, to demonstrate support for the initiative and showcase a city that responds to hate with presence, visibility, and community.

The flags will be delivered during AperiBoom, Saturday, May 16th at Tusciae Caffè, Via San Carluccio 7, Viterbo, until stocks last. After the May 17th exhibition, they must be returned within the following days, after agreeing on the return procedure with the association.

Photos will only be published if submitted with permission to be shared on the association's channels. If recognizable individuals appear in the images, we will request explicit confirmation before publication.
