Senator Andreotti: shame on you!

Giulio Andreotti

Giulio Andreotti

With more or less reactionary undertones, various political figures are giving vent to their worst homophobic instincts, using the language of the slums.

Even Giulio Andreotti, at the Rimini Meeting He did not miss the opportunity to insult homosexual people, and, referring to the recent Spanish reforms, he said: “"I'm astounded, and to think they told me this whole gay marriage thing was part of an electoral platform drawn up with the expectation of losing... but come on, are we supposed to 'praise' inverts? But if everyone was inverted, the human race would become extinct!"‘.

Dear Senator for Life, we are astonished by your statement, which recalls words used by dictatorial regimes of the twentieth century to murder gays in crematoria or gulags!

It seems futile to ask you to take back this horrible sentence, pleased as you must have been, numerous applauses from the CL audience, a movement where it is known that being (visible) homosexual is absolutely not permitted, so as not to contaminate the ideological purity of an organization that feels elected and unique to defend the Catholic Tradition.

All we can do is note that in this country, the honor of millions of citizens, who like everyone else pay taxes and live peacefully, is trampled upon daily without this provoking the necessary indignation in politics, culture, and society.
