The Eos Arcigay Calabria club was invited to a roundtable discussion on PACS at the reception hall of Palazzo dei Bruzi in Cosenza on Sunday 30 October 2005.
During the event, whose speakers were:
Felicita Cinnante – Councillor for Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Cosenza;
Pierluigi Pedretti – coordinator and representative of the Communist Refoundation Party;
Adriana Perulli – President of Eos Arcigay Calabria;
Don Franco Barbero – representative of the so-called "dissident" Church;
Federico Cerminara – secretary of Eos Arcigay Calabria;
The municipal administration has expressed its desire to establish a register of de facto couples.
‘The councilor presented the draft resolution prepared for this purpose. Furthermore, during the debate, emphasis was placed on the legal basis of PACS and, even more so, on the natural basis, which sees love as the driving force of relationships, not mere sexual interest.
