The first phase (acceptance of the works) of the National exhibition-competition “Images of Pride” organized by ARCIGAY SIRACUSA and Biblios Cafè Siracusa.
The competition prizes are: a cash prize of 200 euros (offered by Gruppo Pegaso Catania), an Arcigay Siracusa cup, and six plaques donated by the mass media: Assostampa Siracusa, Quotidiano di Siracusa “Libertà,” the weekly “I Fatti,” the weekly “Il Ponte,” Albatros TV, and Telemarte.
The jury is composed of: Angela Barbagallo, president of Arcigay Siracusa and chairman of the jury; Carlo Coniglio, graphic designer; Sebastiano Ragusa, photographer; Maurizio Battista, director; and Agata Ruscica, regional vice president of Arcigay, serves as jury secretary.
Photographers from Syracuse, Catania, Milan, Agrigento, Messina, Reggio Emilia, Palermo, and Bologna participated.
The exhibition of the selected works will be inaugurated on Saturday 27 June 2009 at 4.00 pm at the Biblios Cafè and the awards ceremony will take place at 8.00 pm. The exhibition is curated by Laboratorio Kos.
