Painting this bench during the three intense days of inauguration of the Polar Space — one public space owned by the Municipality of Bergamo and entirely dedicated to the aggregation of the new generations - represented much more than a simple graphic or street furniture intervention. It was a conscious act of territorial reappropriation and active political claim.
In a social context where discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity continue to be daily threats, physically imprinting the colors of the Progress Pride Flag In the heart of a municipal youth center, it sends an unmistakable message. This presence becomes a permanent visual reminder against homo-lesbian-transphobia, racism, and all forms of marginalization.
