The coordination of LGBT associations in Milan and the Province expresses deep solidarity and support for the battles for dignity and legality waged by the many Egyptian, Senegalese, Pakistani, and Latin American citizens who are rightly protesting the fraud they suffered during the 2009 amnesty.
The closeness to the Pride “Milan is also us” is not a closeness limited to the calendar: it is also a political closeness.
For too many years, a chasm of incivility and discrimination has developed in this city and in this country, creating divisions between anachronistic and unrealistic categories, creating first-class citizens and second-class citizens.
Demanding an inclusive city capable of guaranteeing rights and duties for all, legitimizing differences and ensuring mutual respect, we are in the square today, as we will be on Saturday the 25th at 4:30 pm in Piazza Lima, so that everyone can say "We are Milan too," because Milan belongs to everyone.
