Based at Via Ripagrande 12, Arcigay Ferrara is a non-profit volunteer organization that has been committed to promoting the rights, dignity, and well-being of LGBTQIA+ people for over twenty years.
Through the active commitment of a team of volunteers, the committee works to affirm equal opportunities and equal rights regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, and self-expression, in line with the values and guidelines of the national Arcigay network.
The committee promotes advocacy, cultural events, educational workshops, counseling services, and safe spaces for the community, with the aim of building a conscious, supportive, and inclusive citizenry. Activities are primarily conducted in the Ferrara area and its province, with a particular focus on intersectionality, sexual health, anti-stigma, and civic education.

Checkpoint SERVICE
A service dedicated to promoting sexual health and preventing sexually transmitted infections (STIs). It is a welcoming, free, and anonymous space designed to meet the health needs of LGBTQIA+ people and all citizens.
The service offers:
- Rapid tests for HIV and syphilis, anonymous and free, in an informal and non-judgmental context.
- Peer Counseling Help Desk for active listening and personalized support.
- Accompaniment to health services, with concrete support throughout the treatment process.
- Psychological counseling, by appointment, to address emotional, relational, or identity difficulties.
- Education and awareness-raising activities, through workshops, events and information campaigns.
Access to the services is free and open to all, and anonymity is guaranteed.

CAD SERVICE – Anti-Discrimination Center
Territorial Anti-Discrimination Center managed by Arcigay Ferrara Gli occhiali D'oro, which offers a Service for LGBTI+ People:
- Victims of violence based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity
- Removed from home due to sexual orientation and/or gender identity
- Victims of domestic violence
- In conditions of fragility and vulnerability
- Unemployed or unemployed for reasons based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity
It provides listening and support services to LGBTI+ people through the following offices:
- Listening and counseling
- Psychological counseling
- Specialist advice and legal assistance
- Specialist counseling for asylum seekers based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity
- Orientation to social, health and socio-health services
- Orientation towards work and independent living
It also offers:
- Specialized training
- Socialization groups led by experienced facilitators

FROM BACK TO STORY
Back to the beginning and full stop reading group Sponsored by Arcigay Ferrara Gli Occhiali d'oro. Once a month, we'll choose, read, and discuss a book on LGBT+ issues, also exploring other literary genres.
Through the reading of books, DACCAPO E PUNTO aims to be a moment of encounter and an opportunity for discussion, starting with LGBTI+ and gender topics, always keeping open the possibility of proposing and exploring multiple related themes.
